Solar power careers will pick up steam again as solar panel costs continue to drop and state governments or utility companies offer generous rebates for solar installation. While such changes in state government might take a little longer, once they are forced to adopt clean energy policies, the public will be forced to embrace solar power as the population starts to demand it. This time, the majority of citizens will not be doing so through the electric company. They will do it through home owners associations, whose members have been elected on a "no new hydro dam" basis. As the incentives for solar panel installation increase and prices come down, these homeowner organizations will be the driving force in pushing government agencies to take action. The push to get government entities to subsidize the cost of solar panel installation will likely increase as citizens realize how valuable solar energy really is and how much money it is actually free savings estimate them each year.

The incentives that are currently in place for the installation of solar panels on commercial property will likely change after a few years. The push to make solar panels an important part of the solution to decreasing greenhouse gas emissions is not going to die down any time soon. Even if it becomes a tradition in some jurisdictions to replace old energy plants with new solar energy ones, the public will not stop there. People are going to continue to demand clean energy at home and the only way that energy companies can meet those needs is by continuing to supply them with cheap electricity created through the use of solar cells.

The incentives being offered by the electric utility companies to customers who choose to install solar panel installations on their property are not going to go away no matter how often residents complain about the cost or complications of the installations. They will only decrease as more people demand wind and solar power. Once enough people demand clean, renewable energy, the cost of electricity produced through the use of traditional sources will begin to decline. The incentives that are currently available for the residential sector may become less attractive to customers when the costs of renewable energy begin to take a bite out of their wallets.

There are several types of careers that one can have after receiving PV certification. One of the most popular and lucrative options for many is becoming a solar panel installation technician. This is great work because it allows a person to have the skills needed to advance into other career options. PV technicians are able to get jobs in retail, commercial and even government jobs. The educational requirements to become a professional or technician are very minimal and the pay is also excellent.

Another type of solar installer job description that is common is the electrician job. Electricians are often required to wire up different components that are involved in solar power systems. Some solar systems may only require cables, while others may require a complete electrical overhaul. It does not take a lot of training to become an electrician and many of them do not have to have any formal training at all. In fact, many electricians who are just getting started on the job can find some jobs by working under a friend or family member.

As you can see, there are several different options that a person can take when they want to pursue a career as a solar installer. Each of these careers requires a great deal of responsibility but the pay is fantastic and very lucrative. This is especially true if you choose to become an electrician. On top of making good money, if you should become sick or injured while performing your duties as an installer you will be covered by major insurance companies.
